Temporary employment register

Graduate program

The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries Graduate Program aims to advance graduate career opportunities in an exciting, supportive and diverse environment.

The 12-month program is facilitated through rotational work placements and structured training. It's designed to provide exposure to diverse operations and develop valuable skills and experience.

Graduates will undertake research, policy and project activities across the department’s service areas. This will provide the opportunity to develop sound knowledge and professional expertise that supports and enhances business activities, as well as the knowledge and confidence needed to start a successful career within the public sector.
